Virtual Visit at the University of Edinburgh

The Virtual Visit is really about imagining yourself in Edinburgh. We want to show you our University and what it means to be here, allow you to familiarise yourself with our campuses ahead of a physical visit or arriving for your studies and that this is a place where you can feel a sense of safety and belonging. Not only that, it’s designed from a student’s viewpoint: the vast majority of videos feature current and former students sharing their experiences, photos of the city have been taken by students and even the map was illustrated by one of our graduates. In addition, there are numerous links to student blogs as well as the opportunity to chat with current students.

We offer over 300 on-campus taught masters programmes as well as over 70 online masters programmes across the full range of arts, humanities and sciences. Edinburgh Innovations' enterprise service for students, our award-winning programme for student entrepreneurs, embodies our strong enterprise culture. The service is free, confidential, and available to any Edinburgh student for the duration of their studies and for up to two years after graduation. It aims to help you distinguish yourself in a competitive job market and create real entrepreneurial opportunities.

This support ensures that our students continue to be highly regarded by recruiters all over the world. Six months after graduating, 96.5% of our students are in employment or further study.

Admission

Typically, the minimum entry requirement for our masters programmes is 2.5/5 in your bachelor degree. However, for many of our masters programmes demand for places is much higher than places available so applicants who meet the minimum academic requirements are not guaranteed an offer of studies. The majority of offers will be made to students who achieve grades well above the minimum entry requirement.

Within each subject category of the ‘Studying‘ section, the ‘Our degrees‘ button takes you straight to our Degree Finder pages, which list all necessary information on how to apply, including entry requirements, tuition fees, documents required and deadlines.
