Master in Management & Innovation at TUM Campus Heilbronn

With our Master in Management & Innovation, we give young professionals the incomparable feeling of developing their own entrepreneurial idea, seeing it grow and sharing it with other people. Woven into an interdisciplinary and international environment, our master’s program has one big goal: to train you to become the innovation managers of the future. 

In our English-language degree program, our professors and lecturers will teach you the skills to bridge the gap between management and technology. The basis for this is a unique framework that you will work through in a total of four semesters in presence. However, you shape the nuances and focus of your studies yourself by choosing one of the three different study tracks: TUM Track, Double Degree: HEC Paris, or Double Degree: University of Calgary.

Master in Management & Innovation: Course Content

TUM TRACK

• Location: Heilbronn, Munich
• Kick off with courses in general management at TUM Campus Heilbronn.
• Take additional courses in language or personal & career development.
• Apply your knowledge to a real-life project at a family-run business in the Heilbronn-Franken region.
• Gain international experience during an exclusive study trip module to Finland (destination is subject to change).
• Complete an internship.

Double Degree: HEC Paris

• Location: Paris, Munich
• Gain a double degree from two of Europe’s most renowned universities: TUM and HEC Paris.
• The Master in Management program at HEC Paris was ranked second in the world by the Financial Times in 2017.
• Spend your first two semesters at HEC Paris taking courses in general management such as Financial Accounting, Marketing or Operations & Supply Chain Management.
• The courses are complemented by language classes, networking events and other extracurricular activities.

Double Degree: University of Calgary

• Location: Calgary, Munich
• Create your transcontinental profile by earning degrees from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and TUM within 2 years.
• Haskayne is ranked among the top 10 business programs in Canada by Maclean’s.
• Spend your first year in Calgary developing comprehensive knowledge of business essentials & making connections in the Canadian business community.
• Grow your skills through networking events, live case studies, and mentorship.

You will discover how to build smart solutions at the interface of management and technology, and work as part of an international or interdisciplinary team.

Master in Management & Innovation: Admission

For all degrees:

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• 12 months full-time work experience
• Proof of proficiency in English, alternatively: Bachelor’s degree held completely in English; native speakers need no proof
• A successful admissions interview

Additionally for Double Degree: HEC Paris:

• GMAT or GRE test result (Applicants holding a first degree from the double degree partner institution are exempted from GMAT/GRE and from the application fee)
• Up-to-date academic transcripts (exchange programs included)
• Two letters of recommendation

Additionally for Double Degree: University of Calgary:

• Either a minimum GPA of 3.30 (or international equivalent) or a GMAT score
• Undergraduate courses in economics, statistics, mathematics, or psychology highly recommended
