The Fashion Industry represents one of the most competitive businesses today.
Therefore, within the Fashion System, marketing is called to identify distinction values continuously new. The trick is to find the most engaging topics and to use them to have one’s own brand in the line of fire. In order to stand out, brands have to respond to consumers’ needs and to do it properly, creativity is a must-have. With this idea in mind “innovation is the key of success”, the Master course trains the Fashion Marketing teams of tomorrow

Master Diploma IED in Fashion Marketing - From Strategy to Branding: Course Content

The Master course in Fashion Marketing sets the development of the intellectual and creative ability to innovate and conceive marketing and branding strategies. It provides traditional class teaching and thematic discussions, as well as laboratory and experimental design trainings.

Modules relating to the basic disciplinary fields improve students’  knowledge of those visual and methodological tools that help them during the development of their projects. Main feature of this phase is the focus on project management based on the Design Thinking approach and applied to a real brief: students acquire a strong and effective methodology that allow them to create innovation and to connect design and marketing management within a specific organisation.

The subjects related to the distinctive disciplinary fields provide the core for the definition of each Fashion Marketer’s professional identity. They include workshops, lectures and both individual and group projects related to clear companies’ briefings on different topics such as brand management, omni channel distribution and communication and marketing strategies. Among the works carried out together with companies, students can also enter the process of reverse mentoring on one of them. The programme ends with a Final Thesis that assesses the skills acquired and brings out each student’s attitudes in terms of creativity and selected marketing area.

Students are also involved in external activities such as visitings in brands’  headquarters and fashion fairs, in order to broaden their knowledge of the market and keep themselves up-to-date about new trends and practices.

Master Diploma IED in Fashion Marketing - From Strategy to Branding: Admission

The Master course works as a valuable specialisation for Italian and international graduates who have completed a BA degree or equivalent qualification, as well as have a remarkable professional experience in the same field of study. Students who have completed all the university exams within the course’s starting date can apply.
 

To start the admission process it is necessary to fill in the registration form at ied.edu/enrolment.

Registration allows applicants to get personal login details for the online admission platform admission.ied.it where they can fill in personal information and upload the required documentation to be admitted to a course. A IED Advisor carefully supports students during the application, selection and enrolment processes. To be admitted to a Master course, the following documents are required:
 

  • Pre-enrolment form available online within the applicant’s personal area;
  • Passport or ID for EU students;
  • Motivation letter in the language of the chosen course;
  • CV;
  • Copy of applicant’s degree certificate if already owned;
  • University transcripts.
